Summer Wedding | Heidi and Matt | Wedding Details

Congratulations Heidi and Matt! Heidi and Matt had a beautiful fairy-tale wedding complete with horse and carriage. We met Heidi and Matt a few years back at the Virginia Bridal Show in Fredericksburg, hosted by Virginia Bride Magazine, when they were beginning their wedding plans. We have enjoyed getting to know this super sweet couple along the way. We had a wonderful time at Heidi's Bridal Session and their Engagement Session and now their Big Day in June! 

The wedding venue was The Inn at Kelly's Ford in Virginia, with the ceremony at the Gazebos at Manahoac Park, and the reception at Ripley Hall. The bridesmaids had a great time preparing, laughing, and shedding a few happy tears together too. Heidi was so sweet to have each bridesmaid's bouquet created with their favorite flowers. All of the wedding day bouquets were created by Lacy's Florist in Orange, Va. The special attention to detail continued all the way to the personalized dress hanger . Speaking of the wedding dress, it was stunning with soft ruffles by Alfred Angelo. The guys were equally handsome sporting tuxes from the Men's Wear House. The bride carried a special charm on her bouquet in honor of her mother. The matron of honor created a gorgeous candy favor table, everything matching the wedding colors: navy blue, pink, and green. Even the wedding rings and engagement ring, from Christopher Williams Jewelers, coordinated. 

The First Look or Unveiling was a sweet time for the Bride and Groom. A wonderful moment set aside for them to enjoy the first time they saw each other on their wedding day. I am sure they will remember the moment for years to come! The photo booth experience was a huge hit as well. Everyone had a great time with fun poses and more traditional ones too. 

Heidi and Matt, you are a beautiful couple with beautiful family and friends! We were blessed to be a part of your wedding day!

Fredericksburg Engagement Portraits | Heidi and Matt

We had a terrific evening with Heidi and Matt at their engagement session with lots of laughs along the way! Heidi's brother Brady even came along. Props to Heidi for venturing into the wheat field and tall grass to capture some super portraits. They are sure to be wonderful keepsakes for years to come of this sweet time! Heidi and Matt are laid back and so happy to be getting married. A joy to know and a pleasure to photograph. We have been planning for their upcoming wedding at the Inn at Kelly's Ford for a few years now. It is sure to be a fairy tale evening! Looking forward to it :)  ~Patti

Ambient Light Wedding Photography by Living Story

Wanted to share some of our low light, indoor wedding photographs. We just met with a bride-to-be who is very wise to ask if low lighting is something that we can handle and we are happy to say that it is. So many ceremonies do not allow flash so it is very important to have equipment that is able to pull in enough ambient light to capture these sweet moments. All of the above images are flash free, with only available light. The photograph of the bride and groom with the candle had only that one candle as a light source. It's a sweet and romantic look.

Amanda and Bechir's Wedding by Living Story, Virginia Wedding Photographers

Amanda and Bechir had a beautiful wedding in northern Virginia at St. Mark's and the Waterford, a popular and lovely indoor wedding reception venue. Time was set aside between the ceremony and reception for some sweet portraits outdoors so the best of both settings were captured for years to remember. Family and friends were excited to celebrate their beautiful day with them. The light pink and white decor created a lovely Spring setting with warm touches of candle light, photographs of the happy couple, and tokens from their life. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Congratulations to you both!
